On the Familienreiterhof Andreas Völkner you can experience the beauty of all four seasons. The fresh air and the wonderful landscape with unique views are best experienced on horseback. Ride along the steep coast, on the Bodden meadows, through the coastal forests and in the low season also on the beach and get to know the personality of your riding horse! For overnight stays our small reed house and the riding room are available all year round for a beautiful holiday in the middle of nature. In Althagen you can enjoy horseback rides and paddle trips by boat from our private Bodden swimming area as well as extensive cycle and hiking trails embedded in the unique landscape between the Bodden and the Baltic Sea. Art lovers will find Löberkeramik and the painter Carola Piper right next door.

Around our riding school there are about 80 km of bridle paths, which lead past restaurants and cafes on the peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst. Experience an exciting horseback riding tour through the countryside with our qualified riding guide. The price per ride is calculated according to the time we are on the way. A one hour ride costs 20 €, a two hour ride 35 €. If you want to make a day ride, the price is determined by the time we are on the way. We invite non-riders to a leisurely carriage ride.

Besides the horses, cats, dogs, ducks, geese, chickens and sheep also feel very comfortable on the farm. 14 school horses and ponies with a height of 1.20 m to 1.65 m of the breeds Mecklenburger, Mecklenburger-Friesen, Mecklenburger-Quarter, Welsh Cob, Mecklenburger-Haflinger are available for individuals and groups, both for beginners and advanced riders. For guest horses there is a guest horse pasture. As feed we offer hay and water via a water wagon. The riding school also has a round pen.

You reach our riding school via the A 19 to the exit B105/ direction Stralsund. From Altheide take the L 21 to Althagen.
